Describe an apogee compared to perigee.

  1. Apogee and perigee refer to the distance from the Earth to the moon. Apogee is the further point from the earth. Perigee is the closest point to the earth and it is in this stage that the moon appears larger. And this is what they are differents

  2. A apogee is when the earth is farther from the sun, and the perigee is when it is closer to the sun

  3. An apogee is the point in the orbit of the moon or a satellite at which it is furthest from the earth. An perigee is the point in the orbit of the moon or a satellite at which it is nearest to the earth.

  4. The apogee and perigee of the moon have a definite affect on the weather and tides here on Earth. When the moon is at Apogee, the furthest distance from the Earth, it has less gravitational pull. Weather conditions can be more stable and the tides more predictable. When the moon is at perigee, closer to the Earth, there is much more gravitational pull and it can whip up the tides and cause weather to become more unstable.

  5. The apogee is the point in an orbit where the object is farthest from the object it goes around. The perigee is the point in an orbit where the object is closest from the object it goes around.

  10. an apogee is The farthest point from Earth of any object orbiting Earth
a perigree is periapsis in Earth orbit; the point in its orbit where a satellite is nearest to the Earth
